Good candidates have fat that doesn’t go away with diet and exercise, a stable weight, and enough skin elasticity for the skin to adjust afterward. If the main concern is loose, hanging skin, an arm lift (brachioplasty) is usually the better option. Dra. Sofía will confirm which one fits at your consultation.
Arm lipo cost depends on whether only the arms are treated or also the underarm and back, whether BodyTite skin tightening is added, and whether it’s combined with another surgery, plus operating room fees at an accredited hospital and a board-certified anesthesiologist. After your consultation you receive a formal written quote with no hidden fees, so we don’t quote a single price without evaluating your case.
BodyTite is radiofrequency-assisted liposuction: besides removing fat, it applies heat beneath the skin to help the tissue contract. It’s considered when there is mild to moderate skin laxity, which is common on the arms. If there is significant excess skin, radiofrequency doesn’t replace an arm lift.
Arm liposuction removes fat and leaves small scars, but it doesn’t remove skin. An arm lift (brachioplasty) removes excess skin and fat and leaves a longer scar along the arm. Which one you need depends on how much loose skin you have and its elasticity; sometimes they are combined.
Swelling and bruising are normal during the first weeks. You’ll wear a compression garment or sleeve for as long as Dra. Sofía indicates and return to your activities gradually, avoiding strenuous arm exercise at first. The final result becomes visible as swelling goes down over several months.
